Zeitgeist Addendum, is a 2011 a sequel to the film Zeitgeist The Movie, produced in 2011 by Peter Joseph.

The film attempts to locate the root causes of this pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other “establishment” notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part.

The work advocates a new social system which is updated to present day knowledge, highly influenced by the life long work of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project.

Zeitgeist: The Movie is a documentary film by Peter Joseph originally produced in 2007.  It asserts the Christ myth theory and a number of conspiracy theory-based ideas, including alternative theories for the parties responsible for the September 11 attacks in 2001 and that bankers manipulate the international monetary system and the media in order to consolidate power.

Part I – The Greatest Story Ever Told – questions religions as being god-given stories, arguing that the Christian religion specifically is mainly derived from other religions, astronomical assertions, astrological myths and traditions, which in turn were derived from or shared elements with other traditions. In furtherance of the Jesus myth hypothesis this part argues that the historical Jesus is a literary and astrological hybrid, nurtured politically.

Part II – All The World’s A Stage – uses integral footage of several 9/11 conspiracy theory films and claims that the September 11 attacks were either orchestrated or allowed to happen by elements within the United States government in order to generate mass fear, initiate and justify the War on Terror, provide a pretext for the curtailment of civil liberties, and produce economic gain.

Part III – Don’t Mind The Men Behind The Curtain – argues that three wars of the United States during the twentieth century were waged purely for economic gain by what the film refers to as “international bankers”, a spin on the Illuminati and Priory de Scion mythology. The film alleges that certain events were engineered as excuses to enter into war including the sinking of the RMS Lusitania, the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the Gulf of Tonkin Incident. This section also claims the existence of a secret agreement to merge the United States, Canada and Mexico into a “North American Union”.

An updated version of Zeitgeist released in 2012 removes the North American Union section among other changes.

Zeitgeist: Moving Forward [2011] by director Peter Joseph is a 162 minute film work which continues what the prior two films of the Zeitgeist Film Series started: a critical look at the “Zeitgeist” or ‘Spirit /Awareness of the Time’.

A prominent underlying thesis of the Film Series is that a great many notions, beliefs and practices currently engaged in today and assumed as “presupposed”, “given” or seemingly empirical to our societal approaches and values are not only intellectually/historically incorrect but highly detrimental to our personal and social progress and sustainability.

<em>Zeitgeist: Moving Forward</em> focuses on the very fabric of the social order: <em><strong>Monetary-Market Economics, </strong></em>presenting the case that it is, indeed, the very foundational mechanics of this system that generates the patterns of behavior and unsustainable methods of conduct that are leading to the vast spectrum of detrimental consequences both personal, social, and environmental.   The longer they go on, the worse things will become.
